No matter whether you take architecture, design, music or art, Berlin has developed in recent years into a magnet for creative people in Germany and from all over the world. It is awarded the title of Design City by UNESCO and included in the global network of creative cities.
Within the city, too, it is essential to have networks and places where creative people can introduce themselves and exchange ideas – places for dialogue that function both as an urban generator and a burning glass, communicating Berlin’s potential in condensed form to the outside world.
We have created a space of this kind for Berlin as an international centre of art and culture: the former Postfuhramt (Postal Stagecoach Building), an important landmark in Mitte district in the heart of Berlin, has an integrating focus thanks to its unique location in close proximity not only to the creative companies and artists in the city, but also to Museum Island, Alexanderplatz and the government precinct. It acts as a hub of the creative industry as well as a visual invitation and entrance gate to the city’s gallery quarter.
